These five tapes are very interesting. I for one never having seen them before, or indeed even knew of their existence. They therefore came as quite a pleasant surprise - I felt like I'd just got my hands on a newly released set, something we don't get very often these days, as far as Hancock memorabilia is concerned. As I think you'll agree, the caricatured pictures on this set are very nice. Unusually, though I'm not complaining, a couple of them contain a Goon Show extract, on the B side! I stumbled across this set of tapes quite recently and am now trying to track down at least one other tape on this Quality 747 Variety label, which I think must, and hope exists, although I have no way of really knowing at present. This tape, if indeed it does exist, would contain the following two shows: The Sleepless Night & Fred's Pie Stall. These Quality 747 Variety tapes originated from the Far & Middle East, Saudi Arabia and were, I believe, on sale there between 1984 & 1990. I get the feeling these could be bootlegs. I could be wrong though, and if I am I apologise to all those concerned. If anyone can shed any more light on this particular audio tape label, and / or set of tapes, then I'd be delighted to hear from you. All in all, a very nice set and addition to any collection! As I've proven once again, you can still find rare tapes second-hand, if you look hard enough. So keep those minces peeled!

As already mentioned, these tapes are no longer available, are very rare and difficult to find. Above are some of the releases I have. There are others, released over the last three decades, of which more can been seen on the next page.
